July's Fruity Gin of the Month
Summer gooseberry season seems a good time to review one of our favourite fruit gins. Plus, we have some fantastic gooseberry gin cocktail recipes and a great offer available.
Slingsby Gooseberry Gin is crafted using the world-famous Harrogate aquifer water, pure single grain spirit, and locally sourced botanicals synonymous with the restorative nature of the town.
Yorkshire gooseberries add a great summer flavour to the excellent Slingsby London Dry Gin. The citrus notes of the Gin are complemented by the fruity sweetness of the gooseberries.
We love to serve this premium gin with Mediterranean tonic and some apple slices, for an elegant summer G&T.

Gooseberry Blossom Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 25ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
- 50ml cloudy apple juice
- 10ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 10ml elderflower cordial
- Splash of Britvic 55 Sparkling Apple
Instructions:
Build all the ingredients in a low ball glass over ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
Gooseberry Spritz Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 40ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
- 15ml sugar syrup
- 40ml apple juice
- 8 mint leaves
- lemonade
Instructions:
Muddle the mint leaves in a tall glass and fill with ice. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
King of the Hill Cocktail
Ingredients:
50ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
50ml cloudy apple juice
20ml elderflower cordial
15ml lemon juice
Half a kiwi fruit
Instructions:
Muddle kiwi in the base of a cocktail shaker. Add all of the other ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a highball glass with crushed ice and garnish with cucumber balls and a kiwi slice.
