Best Rum Cocktail Recipes
Rum is a really versatile spirit for cocktails and an essential for the summer months!
Here are some of our favourite, and easy to prepare, rum cocktail recipes to try during your summer 2021 staycation.
Classic Mojito
Ever popular, the mojito is a deliciously refreshing white rum cocktail.- 50ml Crooked Eye Caribbean Silver Rum or other white rum
- Fresh lime
- Sugar syrup
- Mint leaves
- Lime wedges
- Soda water
Squeeze the mint leaves in your hands and add to a tall glass with ice and the lime wedges. Add the white rum, a dash of sugar syrup, and and squeeze of fresh lime juice. Top up with the soda water and stir carefully.
Piña Colada
Nothing says summer on the beach more than this tropical classic. Perfect for dressing up with lots of colourful cocktail accessories!- 50ml Malibu Caribbean Coconut Rum
- 75ml Pineapple Juice
- 25ml coconut cream
- Slice of fresh pineapple
Shake all the ingredients with some ice in a shaker or jam jar and strain into a glass. Finish with a slice of fresh pineapple and (minimally) a cute cocktail umbrella.
Dark & Stormy
A spicy yet refreshing summer cocktail for dark rum lovers.- 50ml Crooked Eye Caribbean Dark Rum
- 100ml Fentimans Ginger Beer
- Fresh lime
- Sugar syrup
Add ice to a tall glass and add the dark rum, a squeeze of fresh lime, a dash of sugar syrup, and top up with the ginger beer.
Dead Man's Fingers Espresso Martini
Our Dead Man's twist on the espresso martini is perfect for sipping over ice.
- 50ml Dead Man's Fingers Coffee Rum
- 25ml Grey Goose Vodka
- 50ml chilled espresso
Shake all the ingredients with some ice in a shaker or jam jar and strain into a glass.
Salted Caramel & Spiced Rum Hot Chocolate
Finally, when the sun goes down, here's something to keep you warm. Well we are in the UK after all!
- 50ml Dead Man's Fingers Spiced Rum
- 2 tbsp dulce de leche
- 150ml whole milk
- A few sea salt flakes
- 50g of decent chocolate chopped
- Whipped cream
Warm the milk in a pan and then add the rest of the ingredients. Stir until it starts to simmer. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream to serve.
